Craig A. Smith and Associates (CAS) has been the Village Engineer for the past twenty-four years and handles all of our ongoing engineering needs including stormwater, water, sewer, utility locations and FDOT LAP projects. In addition to the water, sewer and stormwater engineering design services which CAS has provided and continues to provide, they have also recently completed an FDOT LAP project for crosswalks throughout the Village on two FDOT roadways. In addition to the required engineering services, CAS also performed the required surveying services for this project and other such projects, performing all Sunshine One Call utility locations for the Village owned utilities from 2009 to present. The Village remains satisfied working with the entire CAS staff.

Bal Harbour Village

CAS served in preparing the conceptual design plans, RFP package for the design/build project and as EOR for construction review for a pump station and outfall for the historical I-95 flooding problem in southeastern Broward County. The design and construction was fast-tracked to minimize flooding exposure. CAS was brilliant in devising the mechanical, electrical, system layout, and operational components of the pumps station, integrating all these with the needed lake storage and tunneling. CAS worked “hand in glove” with the Department in devising innovative, sound solutions to this extremely difficult problem.

Florida Department of Transportation

For the past 23 years, Craig A. Smith & Associates has provided Okeechobee County with surveying, engineering, construction management and utility services on various projects involving storm water and utility improvements, site plan review, road and bridge improvements, and landfill projects. With all the above services, Craig A. Smith & Associates also serve as their County Engineer. Okeechobee County has enjoyed a successful relationship with Craig A. Smith & Associates and highly recommends their services.

Okeechobee County

Craig A. Smith and Associates has provided Engineering Consulting Services since 1990. During this time period, CAS has helped to resolve many issues throughout the Town. Major projects which have been completed include the resolution of the Towns inherent flooding problems. In addition, CAS has provided engineering services for our sewer system with regards to sewer collection. Numerous lift station rehabilitation projects as well as gravity collection and force main design has been performed. In addition to the engineering services provided, CAS has also performed the required surveying services for such projects and has performed all Sunshine One Call utility locations for Town owned utilities since 2005. The Town has been pleased to work with the entire CAS staff.

Town of Pembroke Park

Spring Lake Improvement District has been working with Craig A. Smith & Associates since 2004. Craig A. Smith & Associates has provided surveying, engineering, construction management and utility locate services on various projects involving stormwater, utility and road improvements. Craig A. Smith & Associates also services the District in the capacity of District Engineer. SLID has enjoyed a successful relationship with Craig A. Smith & Associates, and highly recommends Craig A. Smith & Associates for Engineering, Surveying and Utility Locate Services.

Spring Lake Improvement District

The City of Sweetwater has enjoyed working closely with Craig A. Smith & Associates on the stormwater improvement projects. For many years the City has experienced excessive flooding causing costly physical damage throughout the City for both public and private properties. The improvements that CAS played a critical role in should be able to keep us dry for many years to come. We look forward to continuing to work with CAS on many different projects in the future.
